Project Description
We arrived today to install a new faucet the homeowner had purchased, after experiencing issues with his old faucet, which had malfunctioned while his son was using it. He also discovered problems with his emergency shut-off valves. He graciously invited us into his home, showing the bathroom where these issues had arisen. Following a discussion and some investigation, we presented him with several solutions that not only addressed the problematic lavatory but also included some additional work in the adjacent bathroom.
Ultimately, the homeowner decided to have us replace the faucet he had purchased, along with the emergency shut-off valves. The homeowner kindly guided us to the building's basement, where we located a riser to temporarily shut off the water supply to the bathroom. We made him aware that this water shutdown might potentially affect the neighbors, and he agreed to notify them.
After successfully cutting off the water supply to the bathroom, we took measures to protect the floor and commenced the removal of the old faucet, pop-up drain, and emergency shut-off valves. Following the installation of all the new components, we slowly restored the water supply through the basement shut-off valve. We diligently flushed out the supply hose connections to the new faucet to ensure that no debris would interfere with its proper functioning. Finally, we conducted a series of tests on the faucet and drain, and we are pleased to report that no leaks or issues were found. Thank you for allowing us to help you with your plumbing needs.
