Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the homeowner, who brought to our attention a persistent drip from the second-floor bathroom's showerhead. She informed us that she had already acquired a replacement cartridge. At this point we pointed out a potential issue with the cartridge she had purchased, as it appeared to be intended for a widespread lavatory faucet. We suggested the option of disassembling the existing shower valve to verify if the cartridge was indeed compatible.
Upon disassembly, we discovered that the existing cartridge was different from the one she had purchased. We then provided the homeowner with the option to source and supply the correct cartridge. She chose to proceed with the additional work, and we installed a new cartridge from the reputable Grohe manufacturer. Following the installation, a comprehensive testing confirmed that there were no issues, and the showerhead no longer leaked.
As a final touch, we meticulously cleaned our work area and expressed our gratitude to the homeowners for entrusting us with their plumbing service needs today.
