Project Description
Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the homeowners, who graciously welcomed us into their home. They informed us of water present on the basement floor around the hot water containment unit. Additionally, they mentioned their upcoming summer home addition, which would entail installing an extra bathroom. They expressed interest in upgrading to a larger hot water containment unit.
Following a thorough investigation, we discussed potential solutions and options with the homeowners, who opted for our Stress-Free Hot Water Containment Unit. Commencing the installation process, we began by draining the old unit and replacing it with a new 75-gallon power vent model, accompanied by a new thermal expansion tank and drip pan.
To accommodate the venting system, we carefully drilled a hole in the south side wall and meticulously sealed it with concrete. After filling the tank and flushing all fixtures, we activated the unit.
Before concluding, we discussed plans with them regarding our return for the addition's completion to install a recirculating pump and integrate water feeds for the new section. They also expressed interest in scheduling an estimate for replacing all old galvanized water piping throughout the home once the project commenced.
Upon completing the task, we ensured to tidy up our work area and extended our gratitude to the homeowners for entrusting us with their plumbing needs.
