Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the homeowner, who graciously invited us into her home. She proceeded to describe a concerning issue with a toilet not draining properly, explaining that her mother, while house-sitting, hadn't encountered any problems with the lower-level bathroom. However, when she had guests over, they noticed the toilet was malfunctioning.
Beginning the diagnostic process, we removed the pit cover under an active warranty, revealing a sewage pump clogged with wipes both inside and around it, causing the pump to jam and burn out. After discussing my findings with the homeowner, we emphasized the importance of not flushing wipes down the toilet and presented various solutions and options. They chose the standard option.
We promptly replaced the old pump, clearing debris from the pit before installing the new sewage pump. Rigorously testing it with several cycles, we confirmed that everything functioned flawlessly.
Concluding the task, we expressed our gratitude to the homeowners for entrusting us with their plumbing needs.
