Project Description
Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the homeowner, who promptly informed us about an issue with the first-floor bathtub and drainage concerns with the second-floor hand sink. They graciously guided us to both bathrooms and provided insight into the existing plumbing setup for the first-floor bathtub.
Upon inspection, we observed that the drain from the first-floor bathtub had been disconnected from the waste water drainage system and reconfigured into the main kitchen stack sink drain. After discussing potential solutions with the homeowners, they opted for the economical option of reconfiguring the drain back into the existing waste arm.
We initiated the repair process by addressing the second-floor bathroom, where we replaced the pop-up drain components for the hand sink. Thorough testing ensued, confirming proper functionality with repeated sink filling and draining.
Moving on to the first-floor bathroom, we carefully removed the old waste components and existing trap for the bathtub. Installing the new drain component along with a fresh trap, we ran water for several minutes, thoroughly testing the system by filling and draining the tub, all of which yielded positive results.
Concluding the task, we meticulously cleaned our work area and expressed our gratitude to the family for entrusting us with their plumbing needs.
