Project Description
Upon our arrival, we were graciously invited into the home by the homeowners. They shared with me their ongoing struggle with slow-draining tub and lavatory issues on the second floor. Despite their attempts at rodding and the application of liquid drain cleaners, the problem persisted.
Upon inspection, we noted the original tub drain assemblies' fixed internal linkage, posing challenges for effective cleaning, alongside a lavatory drain that quickly backed up. After discussing our observations and considering their input, we collaboratively devised a solution. The homeowners elected the top option, which entailed cleaning the drain lines, eliminating the drum trap, and replacing the tub drain assembly.
To commence the work, we meticulously set up tarps to protect the surrounding area. We then proceeded to disassemble and remove the tub drain and drum trap, replacing them with new PVC drain piping and a tub drain lift n' turn assembly. Following installation, we filled and rigorously tested the system, which now drains properly.
Additionally, we addressed the lavatory drain issue by removing and cleaning the drain line, uncovering and removing multiple tube caps in the process. We took the time to walk the homeowners through our findings and showed both of them the completed work, providing a thorough explanation of how the lift n' turn drain operates.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the homeowners for entrusting us to assist their family today, in the pursuit of a better tomorrow. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
