Project Description
Upon our arrival, the homeowner graciously welcomed us into her second-floor rental unit, expressing concerns about the functionality of the hall bathroom toilet due to past water leak incidents. Upon inspection, it was evident that both toilets were nearly two decades old, displaying significant wear from chlorine water exposure, with worn trip levers.
We communicated our findings to the homeowner, engaging in a thoughtful conversation to understand her preferences. Following our discussion, we presented multiple options, and she chose the top recommendation. To ensure a seamless process, we meticulously set up tarps to protect the work areas, shut off the water using the existing main shut-off, and proceeded to disconnect and remove the outdated emergency shut-off valves.
Our team then replaced these with premium quarter-turn shut-offs, installing two new signature series gravity flush, comfort-height toilets with slow-close seats. These were seamlessly fitted to the existing floor collars using new premium waxless collar seals. After restoring water flow and conducting thorough tests, we also took the initiative to replace the emergency shut-off valve in the master bath as a courtesy, recognizing her as a valued service member.
We carefully cycled the toilets into operation, adjusted water levels for optimal performance, and conducted comprehensive testing to ensure everything was functioning perfectly. Finally, we proudly showcased the completed work for approval from the homeowner.
