Project Description

Upon arrival, we met with the homeowner, who showed us her water heater that was not producing hot water. The water was cool and cloudy. After inspecting the water heater, we presented several repair or replacement options. The existing heater was a 10-year-old, 50-gallon electric model. The homeowner opted for our midrange Option 2, which included replacing the water heater and enrolling in our annual service agreement.

Once the work was approved, we accessed the mechanical room outside the unit and ensured the power to the water heater was off before draining the existing heater. After draining it, we cut out and removed the old heater, then installed a new 50-gallon electric water heater in its place. We filled the new heater slowly and bled the air from the system by running all the faucets.

Once the system was fully pressurized, we turned on the power to the electric water heater and checked for leaks. After completing the work, we hauled away the old heater and cleaned up our work area.
