We were warmly welcomed by the homeowner, who graciously guided us to the upstairs bathroom. She and her wife had noticed a concerning accumulation of water on the floor beside their toilet. After conducting a thorough inspection and running some diagnostic tests, we identified the issue originating from the tank-to-bowl bolts, with the seal around the right-side bolt being the main concern. We presented her with a selection of solutions, and she chose to have us disassemble and reseat the tank onto the existing toilet, ensuring a proper seal.
Following further testing, we are pleased to report that there are no additional leaks or issues with the toilet. However, it’s important to note that if this problem were to persist, it may necessitate the installation of a new tank or even a whole new toilet to fully resolve the issue.
